Once again, we had some famous canine “Jazz Legands” drop by our store. “Dizzy (Screamin Dog) Perry and “Yo Hound Ma” had to try out our new Ferrari Turbo Altisimo Trumpet and our latest “Gut Bucket” Cello. “Yo hound” loved his Carbon Fiber “Milk Bone” bow and knew what to do with it after the session.

Perry is short for his full name of “Jewelbox Peridot”.
Peridot is a beautiful green gem that sparkles in the light.

Recently discovered documents reveal that Grant Woods famous “American Gothic” is a forgery!
The original was found in the bottom of a dumpster at hornsmashers shop. It turns out that Perry’s grandfather “Arch Duke, R U gonna eat that, esq.” was the original model used to the left of the farmer in the 1930’s painting. It was the end of the roaring 20’s era and for many years the painting hung in an Avant Garde gallery called “I know what I like” in Chicago’s South side. Then, in the early 70’s, with the help of digital image processing, some wag stole the painting and pasted in the spinster daughter you now see. The forgery was then transferred to the Chicago Arts Institute where it is seen today! After hornsmashers discovery at the bottom of the dumpster, john has been trying in vain to get the institute to restore the orginal.

Well, waddah ya know!. I had a bassoon laying on my bench today and before I knew it, Perry jumped up and started working on it! Look at him go! He’s got his apron, he’s got his jewelers screwdriver engaged in a post and (of course) he found the beef jerky stick needed to get him to work. (Union scale for basset techs)

The love of our hearts who will always be a champion gained another point towards being a real champion last week. Perry went “Winners Dog” for one point at the Channel City Kennel Club Show in Ventura. Perry now has 3 points and on his way to the 15 points needed to be a champ. Shown here by Perry’s Breeder Dan Hickey. Perry is maturing and looking better at every show.

Here he is getting back up on his new Yamaha YCL-650. A beautiful professional clarinet with silver plated keys.
